The Madrasah was established under the umbrella of Makeni Islamic Society Trust in the year 1976 to support the community in teaching our next generation about the beautiful religion of Islam.
Through the guidance of our learned scholars, we have adopted a specific syllabus that is according to the teachings of Ahlus Sunnah Wal Jamah.
Our syllabus starts from the basics of Qaidah and gradually progresses to Nazrah (Qur’aan reading) and finally to Hifz (memorization). Students advance through structured levels from Nursery to Grade 7, and those who wish continue into Hifz classes. All recitation follows Hafs ‘an ‘Asim, the most widely used Qiraa’ah globally, ensuring accuracy, authenticity, and proper pronunciation.
In this section, children learn important Duas and Surahs that are recited in daily life as well as on special occasions. They are also guided in Islamic manners (Aadaab) such as greeting, cleanliness, and respectful behavior. In addition, students are taught the practical aspects of worship, including how to perform Wudhu and Salah correctly, helping them apply Islamic teachings in their everyday routines.
The Islamic Studies syllabus is broad and covers many topics, both in Urdu and English, namely;
Due to limited space, we are restricted to a specific number of students per class. Thus,we havea strict admission policyaimed at ensuringthat afair criterion is used to determine the admissions.
