Masjid e Dawah

Masjid e Dawah:

Constructed in 1984, Masjid-Al-Dawaah stands as one of the earliest and most cherished landmarks of spiritual, educational, and communal life within the Makeni Islamic Society Trust. Over the decades, it has evolved from a simple place of worship into a vibrant center that nurtures faith, unity, and community development.

The masjid welcomes worshippers throughout the day for the five daily prayers, Jumu’ah, Taraweeh in Ramadhaan, and the joyous Eid gatherings that bring the entire community together. Its calm and uplifting environment serves as a sanctuary where the hearts find peace, and where individuals strengthen their relationship with Allah.

Beyond its primary role as a house of worship, Masjid-Al-Dawaah plays a multifaceted role in community support and spiritual guidance. It hosts:

  • Nikah ceremonies, allowing couples to begin their marital journey with blessings and dignity.

  • Janazah prayers, providing solace and support to families in times of loss.

  • Islamic programs and classes, nurturing knowledge and encouraging spiritual growth for both young and old.

  • Community development activities, fostering unity, compassion, and social responsibility among all members.

For many, the masjid is a second home—a place where people from diverse backgrounds come together in harmony and brotherhood. Its open doors symbolize the inclusive values of Islam: mercy, kindness, and service to humanity.

Today, Masjid-Al-Dawaah continues to stand as a beacon of guidance, reminding us of our shared purpose, our collective responsibility towards one another, and the importance of maintaining a strong, faith-based community rooted in Islamic values.
