NURSERY AND PRIAMRY SCHOOL

makeni Islamic Society Trust was founded in 1972 as an Islamic Faith Based, non-governmental organization (NGO) to look after the welfare of the Muslims in the vicinity of Makeni.

IQRA ACADEMY is an initiative of Makeni Islamic Society Society Trust which opened in January 2019. We envisaged to offer a " FEE PAYING PRIMARY SCHOOL" that includes

    • The above includes ages from 2 1/2yrs to 4 1/2yrs.

    Primary Education (5 1/2yrs - 12 1/2yrs)

    The society through IQRA Academy Primary School endeavors to expand its social responsibility to all learners without discrimination either on religion, race, colour or creed determinant to Zambia's vision 2030 to explore its Developmental Goals so that it upholds an inclusive, sustainable and resilient development pathway that leaves NO ONE child behind in acquiring high quality education.

    CURRICULUM

    The school has an integrated curriculum Examinations Council of Zambia (ECZ) is integrated with Islamic Knowledge. As the school progresses, parents shall be consulted through the Parents Teachers Assembly on the need to offering the Cambridge (IGCSE) university of London Curriculum from grade 5 to secondary level. This will run parallel to the ECZ curriculum.

    EXTRA CURRICULA/SPORTING ACTIVITIES

    Extra-curricula and sporting activities shall be maintained both indoor and outdoor for the well being of producing a health nation. The school has its own hall where indooor games, assembly and other activities are held.
