SPIRITUAL CARE FOR CORRECTIONAL CENTERS AND DRUG ABUSE

    2019Katombora Reformatory School, Livingstone

Spiritual Care for Correctional centers and drug abuse (SPIC) is a movement initiated by Makeni Islamic Society Trust in order to address the crime and drug abuse situation in Zambia from a psychological and religious perspective.

Alhamdulillah, by the grace of Allah Ta’ala, SPIC (Spiritual care for correctional centers and drug abuse) has further spread its arms of Spiritual Care Services at the Katombora Reformatory School in Livingstone.

This is a Juvenile Prison that has been designed as a reformatory institution of education where Juvenile delinquents (youth up to the age of twenty years old and who have committed crimes-as heinous as murder and robbery) are empowered with academic and vocational training.

There are no Muslims among the inmates, however they shall be receiving Spiritual Care Services from a Muslim Caretaker to supplement the positive growth of the inmates and a chance to change themselves for the better. We would humbly like to request for your duaas that Allah helps to create a peaceful motherland ,Zambia, free from crime which invites the displeasure of Allah.
